Marketing, Marketing Information And Search Engine Optimization

If you are running a small local business in say, “Louisville, KY” and you want to know how to get it ranked in search engines then you are in the right place. Of course you don’t have to be in Louisville, just substitute your location. In this article we are going to discuss local marketing and getting your business found so you can get more leads.

Local marketing is a way of getting a web presence and promoting your business. Yet many businesses go online and fail to see any benefit from their investment. Many businesses simply do not have the information and understanding either to promote their website or find suitable companies to do it for them.

Here is a key point: as you make your web pages be sure to include your address on every page, perhaps in the footer so it is natural looking. The reason for this will be seen later in the article.

Keywords are at the heart of any web marketing campaign. Keywords are the terms or questions that searchers type into the search engines in order to find your website. Your site content and the terms you are using in headlines and titles need to match up with this. There are several things to note about the keywords, 1st that they are being used by searchers and second that you can compete for them.

The first thing about keywords is, are they really keywords? We often assume that the way we think to find our site is good, but is it? You need to find out for your business what people are using to try to find you. You can do this with the Google AdWords Keyword Tool. To use it, you sign up for a free AdWords account with Google and then the tool is yours to use. This article does not cover it’s use but you can Google “using Google AdWords Keyword Tool” and find great references to it.

Combine these keywords with your city name, a suburb name, all sorts of Geo-Identifiers and publish information on your site and on the web. In each piece of content be sure to include your business name, address, city, state, phone, and website URL all listed in the same order, for example:

My Business

12345 My Street

Any-city, Any-State 55555

555-555-1212

MyWebsite.com

Include this in any content you make for your business, pages, articles, press releases, external feeder sites. Be sure to also use Geo Location words combined with your keyword to associate your business function with your city for example: Louisville Attorney, or Louisville Roofer.

Now go to Google places (use Google to find it) and setup an account. Put in all the pictures and videos that you can (you can add them later if you need to). The most important thing is put your business name, address, city, state, phone, and website exactly the same way that you have already done.

Google lets people review you, so get some customers to log into Google accounts and review you. Be sure they include your business name, address, etc, just like above, exactly the same way. Start getting 1 or 2 reviews a week and keep adding over time.

This is the heart of how to build your local presence. There are many more details and little things that are also important but this is the base of it all.

Local marketing means building online presence and branding, you can make your company stand out. Louisville Marketing Labs can add the secret sauce and bring more customers to your door and improve your online presence. I invite you to visit http://louisvillemarketinglabs.com and find out more.

Future Visions, Thoughts Are Things

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

By Michael Griffin

How is your future vision? How well can you see the things that are to happen in your life? Does that sound like a crazy idea?

Napoleon Hill, who was perhaps the greatest success writer of the 20Th century had this to say:

Thoughts are things.

Wayne Dyer, who wrote many success books, put it this way:

You will see it when you believe it.

Wallace Wattles, who wrote “The Science of Getting Rich,” the book behind the movie “The Secret” put it like this:

By thought, the thing you want is brought to you; by action you receive it.

When the mind is open and expecting a thing held in vision it finds new connections and notices things and ideas related to the thing. If you allow your mind to put these ideas and observations together, it will begin to suggest things for you to do. Things that may or may not seem related to the vision. But these things, when integrated this way, will begin to form and bring to you the object of your future vision.

If you want anything — you must first think it. How can we think of the good things we want if our mind is polluted with all the negativity around. Are you a news junkie? Most of what is in the news and on the news channels is what other people want you to think about something that has happened. You don’t need that to overshadow your life. You need to form clear ideas and visions without the interpretation of others. When you create a future vision you must care for it and nurture it while you are bringing it about by holding the vision.

Some have described how this process works using quantum physics. Others relate it to an intelligence in the universe: that the universe contains a thinking substance that produces in kind after the pure thought held in it. Wallace Wattles, quoted above, is one of those who put forth this theory. I don’t think these two theories exclude each other so just take the one that is easiest on your head and begin to play with future vision.

Hold the vision of what you want in your mind with as pure a thought as you can. Practice this morning and night and write the ideas that spin off, write down the plans that come to mind — then act on these things.

Your vision creates the result, your actions bring it into your hands. This is what Wattles is saying.

Whether you have read “The Science of Getting Rich” or not you’ll want to experience it in a new way. You’ll want to experience it as delivered and interpeted by Bob Proctor with some help from Michael Beckwith and Jack Canfield. You will learn to use The Science of Getting Rich as your own secret weapon and as your key to success and creation.

I’m Mike Griffin, and I invite you to learn about these success secret weapons by visiting: http://therealmikegriffin.com/sgrp/

Law of Attraction Techniques – How to Catch Hold of the Law

By Michael Griffin

There are lots of books about the law of attraction and law of attraction techniques: yet the law is simple and you can grasp it in minutes. Like so many good things the law may mean a profound change in the way you think and see life. Try these ideas on:

  • You must only ask to receive
  • Believe it before you see it
  • Your thoughts are things
  • What you think is shaping reality
  • Everything is energy and it is attracted or repelled by you.

None of those ideas are difficult and they underpin the Law of Attraction. Perhaps you’ve heard them from various Guru’s, you may have learned them in Church, many scriptures state the law of attraction, or aspects of it, in different ways.

If you recognize that the law of attraction has everything to do with the way you think, then what do you do about all the negative thoughts that swirl around in most peoples heads. The law of attraction says see the outcome you want and yet most of us have been conditioned to look at the worst things happening so we live a life of fear. The law seeks to empower you, to show you the best things happening, to let you live your life in a state of happiness and courage. So how to deal with these negative thoughts?

This is where the whole thing pivots. What you want is possible, believe that first. Learn to see and feel the possible in your minds eye – visualize.

Learn to create feelings of well being, happiness and gratitude. And the gratitude is for not only what you already have, no matter what it is, but for the thing that is possible, that you are now being grateful that it is here.

While you are doing this, play the Pollyanna game. Go rent the Disney movie and see how Pollyanna does it. There is something good in everything just learn to find it. If this sounds crazy, that’s OK, be crazy like Pollyanna and see the good in things, in people, in events, and in your life. You will create a positive energy and momentum in your life that will return more of the same to you.

On The Abby Road Album The Beatles sang, “And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.” Love is the positive energy that comes along with the law of attraction.

What is the best law of attraction technique? You must only ask and receive. You will find that both simple and complex as you wrap your mind around all that it means.

The Law of Attraction is working in your life right now. The question is, is it operating randomly or by your deliberate intention? I invite you to visit http://www.TheRealMikeGriffin.com and while you are there pick up the free audio books in the sidebar.

Get A Job Fast With Great Local Job Search Tips

NEW YORK - JANUARY 27: Job seekers speak to c...
Image by Getty Images via DayIf you are looking for a job

If you are looking for a job you can first find no better way to proceed than to improve your job search and aqusition skills.  As Stephen Covey said, “sharpen the saw.”  A person who spends 10 minutes out of the hour sharpening the blade of his saw will cut more wood than one who just plods through.

So here are steps, ways you can improve in four key areas that comprise finding and getting a job.

Local Job Search – Can You Afford to Wait 6 Months to Find a Job?

By Michael Griffin

Your local job search, on average, is expected to take between 4 1/2 and 8 months. Why should this be? We are not in The Great Depression.

Successfully finding the job you want will break down into four areas. As you improve your skills in each area, the time for your job search shortens and the quality of your new job will increase. Gain an edge. There is no reason for your job search to be average.

1. Attitude

Can you keep your head while everyone else is running around claiming that the sky is falling? Whether you have lost your job or are looking for something better then cheer up. It couldn’t have happened at a better time and you will see this as we talk about job search technology.

As difficult as things might look, begin to see it as an opportunity to build your future. Many feel a release with great weights being lifted off them as they are released from that old job; there is baggage there that may not be obvious. Look forward to a new opportunity, new people in your life, and a freedom to explore where you’d like to go in life.

If you are bitter or hold any negativity over anything just release it. There is no value in spending so much energy in emotions when that same energy can speed you into that new job. It harms you to hold negative emotions because they will block you from finding the happiness and success that you deserve and which is yours.

2. Job Search Technology

Today the searching technology that will find you a new job is the greatest in history. Internet technology can be leveraged to locate the jobs you want. There are a great many good job search websites that can help you begin. These sites allow you to sign up, post your resume, and search their databases of jobs. Sites like Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com are great places to find job postings and to begin to learn how to find the job leads you want. You’ll also find composite search sites like Indeed.com.

Each of these sites has something to offer you. Each offers job listings and information on job search, resume, and the other things that go along with finding a job. Read, learn, begin to develop or improve your resume. The important thing is don’t get overwhelmed, sit back and learn. Later I’ll tell you about some videos that can introduce you to finding even more high quality job leads.

3. Cover Letter And Resume

A resume cover letter presents you to your prospective employer: it is your chief agent. Your cover letter should also ask for an interview. A cover letter should be brief and yet state why you are applying, why you are a good fit, and ask for the interview. It needs to do these things in a way that will bring that employer to your resume. Without a good cover letter, many resumes just wind up in the trash. With a great cover letter your opportunities will greatly increase.

Learn what your resume needs and does not need. For example it needs your relevant employment history, it does not need a lot of personal information. Your resume should present you and the skill set you bring in the best light. It should be well crafted and look good on the page. Don’t get hung up on finding the right template just begin and the refine.

4. Interview Techniques

You really can not over prepare for the interview and yet so many go in and just wing it. Winging it is OK for the “average” job search but your job search is going to be above average and you will be preparing. You will be ready with a firm handshake, a smile, and a positive outlook when you meet the interviewer.

There are many places on the web where you can find typical job interview questions. Use Google and find these questions and decide how you will answer. Without preparation, even the simplest question can trip up qualified candidates. “Why do you want to work here?” Do you have an answer for that? Have you gone to the companies website and learned about them. Is there something about that company that you can get excited about?

Be positive on your interview, you don’t need to talk badly about your old job, old boss, or old company. As previously stated release any negatives and get on with your life and into your new job. You are building your future and looking forward to contributing on the new job.

You are invited to see our free video on improving your job search skills so you can gain the edge.

Your local job search does not have to be average. I invite you to learn to reduce your local job search time, to learn ways to automate job search, get tips for your cover letter, resume, and your interview skills at http://www.BlueprintForYourFuture.com.
