To paraphrase Lady Bracknell: remaking one much-loved kitsch classic is ballsy; remaking two takes cojones the size of ’80s Space Hoppers. A single misstep and a small army of fanboys is poised to descend on your doorstep with pitchforks and a seize-and-desist writ. Ask Colin Farrell, though, and there’s more than enough daylight between Len Wiseman’s Total Recall – like Fright Night – and its predecessor to dispel the spectre of Arnie, Johnnycab and the camp joys of the red planet. “It’s really different, ” Farrell told Empire. “The story is very much inspired by the Philip K. Dick short story (We Can Remember It For You Wholesale) but it’s been changed significantly. The world created is very different from the world in the original. I love the original but it’s different enough that it warrants retelling.” Check out the video above to hear from Farrell and his fellow Total Recallers, Bryan Cranston, Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale and John Cho, from the floor of Comic-Con. www.empireonline.com

Valentine’s Day is the latest romantic comedy from director Garry Marshall. The film features a star-studded cast, all of whom have intertwining stories of the heart that take place over the course of one Valentine’s Day. One of the storylines follows a publicist named Kara (Jessica Biel), who is seemingly alone with no date on Valentine’s Day. She meets up with Kelvin Briggs (Jamie Foxx), a sports reporter with whom she eventually falls in love. While Biel’s character absolutely despises Valentine’s Day in the film, in real life things aren’t that bad. Tribute’s Bonnie Laufer caught up with Jamie and Jessica in Los Angeles to find out if they’re really romantics at heart and how they feel about Valentine’s Day in general.
